MEET MELISSA
B.Pod (Newcastle), APodA
I am a registered podiatrist and member of the Australian Podiatry Association. I have worked in allied health care for over 14 years, starting as a qualified dental assistant after finishing school. With a surname like Walker, it was obvious I was in the wrong profession, so I returned to university and qualified with a Bachelor of Podiatry at the University of Newcastle in 2012.
I believe that the role of a podiatrist is to empower people with the knowledge they need to maintain their optimum and that preventative foot-care is where it all begins. I have an interest in diabetic foot-care, dermatology and children's foot health and attend regular conferences to keep up to date with the latest skills. Since 2013, I have been working in a private general practice and now it is time for me to launch my own vision. I am based locally on Sydney's North Shore where I live with my husband and two young children.

Our clinic is located in The Pennant Arcade, next door to Fitness First. We have a free, three hour car park at the rear of the Arcade, level entrance and are close to public transport.
